Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a part-time Server to provide top-notch dining service in a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living setting. Responsibilities include taking orders, serving meals, setting up and clearing tables, and ensuring residents have a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities also cover room-service delivery, menu knowledge, dietary requirement awareness, and maintaining high food-safety standards while collaborating with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene and hair restraint.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Possess a current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Understand dietary practices and related regulations for hospital and nursing home settings.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders.
• Promptly delivering food and beverages and presenting them attractively.
• Provide attentive, friendly service and address residents' needs during meals.
• Assist with setting up dining room and maintain cleanliness during service.
• Clear tables, reset for next service and deliver room service orders as needed.
• Be familiar with menu and dietary needs; answer questions from residents.
