Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in New Haven, CT is seeking an Elite Outside Sales Advocate to grow NFIB membership through in-person outreach and a proven sales model.

You will prospect small business owners, deliver a concise five-minute presentation, and close memberships on the spot, with an uncapped commission and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a field-based role demanding energy, persistence, and community commitment.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial spirit with ownership or territory management experience.
• Relational grit to build rapport with small business owners.
• Coach mentality and rapid mastery of a proven sales model.
• Ability to use digital sales tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: in-person cold calls to meet small business owners (no appointment setting).
• The NFIB Presentation: master and deliver a concise, 5-minute sales presentation.
• The Close: use an assumptive one-call close and process payments on the spot.
• Advocacy: educate owners on NFIB protections in DC and state capitals.
