The position requires a GED, 1–3 years of customer service experience, and the ability to obtain a Personal Lines License within 1 year. Strong MS Word/Excel skills and data entry proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• 1-3 years customer service experience preferred.
• Moderate data entry required.
• Moderate Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.
• Able to acquire a Personal Lines License, valid in selling state within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to members and insureds.
• Sell memberships and assist in the sale of insurance; handle billing and changes.
• Develop insurance leads for office sales agents and life specialists.
• Communicate positively and effectively with all staff; maintain positive relationships with management.
• Provide service support for management, sales and life agents; engage in cross selling opportunities.
• Resolve member and insured related problems using discretion; refer issues to higher authority as needed.
• Service work tends to be routine and described within guidelines.
• Handle complex transactions and basic complaints; refer more complex cases to Insurance Specialists or Sales Management.
