Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Membership & Belonging Manager at Santa Anita Family YMCA in Monrovia, CA. This full-time role leads membership growth, engagement, and retention through the center's sales process and member experience.

You will supervise front-line staff, drive daily sales activity, and ensure effective follow-up, tours, and conversions, reporting to the Associate Executive Director.

Qualifications

• AGE: 18.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RELATED EXPERIENCE: 2–4 years in membership sales, customer service, or team leadership.
• CERTIFICATIONS: YMCA‑Approved First Aid, CPR Certifications or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily membership sales activity including tours, appointments, follow-up, and enrollment support.
• Oversee the tracking and management of all prospective members from initial inquiry through conversion.
• Monitor member participation and assist in re-engagement efforts for inactive or at‑risk members.
• Supervise front‑line membership staff and coordinators; coach on sales and service standards.
• Attend staff meetings and training as required.
