Job summary

The Weingart YMCA Wellness and Aquatic Center in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a part-time Membership Engagement Associate (evenings) to welcome members, promote YMCA programs, and support healthy living goals. You will conduct onboarding sessions, assist with registrations, and engage the community to drive membership growth.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in membership sales or customer service, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma preferred or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Specialized skills: strong interpersonal and communication abilities; capability to inspire, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across departments.
• Related experience: 1–2 years in membership sales, customer service, or health and wellness coaching preferred.
• Certifications: Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage members to create an inclusive environment.
• Connect members to Y programs and wellness services.
• Conduct onboarding and wellness consultations to set goals.
• Promote memberships and services through tours, outreach, and referrals.
• Meet sales and retention goals and drive community engagement.
