Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business is seeking an Elite Outside Sales Advocate to engage independent business owners and grow NFIB membership. You will present a proven 5-minute pitch, close deals, and articulate NFIB advocacy.

This hunter/closer role offers uncapped commissions, comprehensive benefits, and a structured training path to help you succeed in a mission-driven, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial spirit and ownership experience preferred.
• Relational persistence to conduct in-person meetings and build rapport.
• Ability to learn and apply a proven sales model quickly.
• Commitment to growing NFIB membership and advocacy efforts.
• Previous sales, leadership, military, or small business background is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: conduct in-person cold calls to meet small business owners.
• The NFIB presentation: master and deliver a concise 5-minute pitch.
• The Close: perform an assumptive one-call close and enroll members on the spot.
• Advocacy: educate owners on NFIB protections in DC and state capitals.
