Job summary

YMCA of Southern Maine seeks a friendly Membership Services Representative to build relationships with members and deliver professional customer service under the supervision of the Membership Director. You will greet members, assist with program registrations, and handle transactions at three Maine locations: Portland, Freeport, and Biddeford.

Schedule is 3:00pm–8:00pm; the role offers a free personal membership, earned paid leave, and program discounts, along with training and advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with frequent distractions and interruptions.
• Accurate data entry and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and provide accurate information on programs and services.
• Register members into programs and process payments.
• Maintain accurate data tracking and documentation.
• Reconcile cash drawer and handle monetary transactions during shifts.
• Promote YMCA mission and core values in daily interactions.
