Job summary

YMCA of Southern Maine is seeking a part-time Membership Services Representative to build relationships with members and provide friendly, professional service. Schedule is 3:00pm–8:00pm with at least 3 locations in Maine, including Portland and Freeport, handling memberships and payments on site.

You will greet members, answer questions, and promote the YMCA mission while maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills, with respectful and effective interaction.
• Good judgment and excellent customer service.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Honor the YMCA Promise and promote inclusion.
• Develop authentic member relationships to grow impact and revenue.
• Greet members and guests; provide complete information on the phone and in person.
• Learn members' needs through effective questioning and listening; tailor services.
• Maintain knowledge of programs and membership events; enforce policies.
• Process memberships and payments; data entry and cash handling; balance cash drawer.
