Job summary

YMCA of Southern Maine is seeking a part-time Membership Services Representative to build relationships with members and provide friendly, professional service. Schedule is 3:00pm–8:00pm with at least 3 locations in Maine, including Portland and Freeport, handling memberships and payments on site.

You will greet members, answer questions, and promote the YMCA mission while maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills, with respectful and effective interaction.
• Good judgment and excellent customer service.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle interruptions.

Responsibilities

Listens and expresses self effectively and with an understanding of the needs of a particular audience.
• Personal Growth– Maintains a high degree of emotional maturity and interpersonal skills and is committed to personal growth and skill acquisition.
• Operations & Safety– Demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of YMCA of Southern Maine membership policies and procedures by accurately conveying and implementing with members. Is knowledgeable on all programs and membership events. Incorporates YMCA mission and core values in daily interactions with members.
• Data Tracking & Documentation–Maintainsaccurateand consistent data tracking and documentation, asrequired. Registers members into programs including completion of all paperwork, receipt of monies and data input into softwaresystem. Manages all monetary transactions accuratelyincluding:accepting payments, issuing receipts, providingchangeand reconciling cash drawer at completion of shift. Processes all membership transactions effectively and accurately.
