Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in Modesto is seeking a Member Service Specialist II to provide trusted financial guidance and handle daily teller transactions. You will open deposits, assist members with accounts, and promote Golden 1 products and services with a service-first approach.

You'll build relationships with members, support branch operations, and participate in training to grow your career within a member-owned cooperative that values integrity, inclusion, and service to the community.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
1+ years of cash handling or service-oriented experience.
6+ months as MSS I or teller at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

Process and audit financial transactions while maintaining a cash drawer.
Provide Golden 1 services to member, including checks, money orders, wire transfers and debit card issuance.
Assess members' needs and promote Golden 1 products and services.
Identify and report fraudulent activity to management per procedures.
Support ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser operations.
Assist MSS III and above with open/close responsibilities as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of member information.
Open deposits and specialty accounts (e.g., Roth IRA) and document financial needs.
