Job summary

Cedar Point Federal Credit Union is seeking a flexible Member Service Specialist to work across New Accounts, Lending, Reception, and Teller lines, delivering courteous and accurate service to members.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, account openings, loan applications, notary duties, and digital banking support while adhering to credit union policies and Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Strong computer skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required, some college desired.
• One+ years financial experience a plus.
• Loan experience a plus.
• General office experience.
• Excellent computer and internet skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong skill in business letter writing.
• Ability to interact comfortably with co-workers, members, and management.

Responsibilities

• Have broad knowledge of Credit Union services and policies and answer inquiries.
• Accept and process financial transactions by phone, mail or in person (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, wire transfers, etc.).
• Process currency transaction reports (CTR) and recommend SARs to security officer.
• Balance teller cash and reconcile discrepancies; maintain ATM cash and deposits.
• Become and remain a Notary Public and explain account procedures (stop payments, NSF, overdraft).
• Assist members with digital banking (reset passwords, unlock accounts, enrollment).
• Process loan applications (MasterCard, signature loans) and discuss related products.
• Discuss and process visa debit card disputes, ACH disputes, and other transactions; learn collateral loan processes.
• Complete required courses and follow Bank Secrecy Act rules; perform other duties as assigned.
