Job summary

SECU is seeking a Member Services Representative to greet and assist members, process transactions, and maintain a high level of service across in-person, phone, and digital channels.

You will manage account maintenance, tax-advantaged accounts, wires, and Notary services while upholding security and confidentiality, balancing cash drawers, and supporting branch operations in Winston-Salem, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for meeting people and building member confidence and trust.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and good judgment.
• Active listener and effective communicator.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Must complete Credit Union Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.
• Demonstrates SECU’s Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Process account openings and maintenance for new members.
• Open/maintain tax-advantaged accounts; process wires; redeem savings bonds; handle foreign currency orders.
• Provide Notary Public services as requested by management.
• Engage with members and document deposit/loan requests as directed.
• Balance cash drawer and adhere to Check Acceptance Guidelines and Hold procedures.
• Greet and assist members courteously via in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Operate a drive-through window as needed.
• Balance vault, ATMs, teller cash dispenser, and coin sorter.
• Interact with other departments to fulfill member requests.
• Organize, file, and scan documents daily.
• Troubleshoot issues with member accounts, cards, and online access.
