Job summary

The YMCA of Southern Maine is seeking a Supportive Services Representative in Portland, Maine. You will greet dorm members, communicate house rules, handle payments and renewals, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while reflecting the YMCA mission in every interaction.

Excellent customer service, strong communication, and detail-oriented organization are essential. You will assist with administrative tasks, monitor access and cards, and respond promptly to incidents, emergencies,

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and strong verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Background in social work preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Greets all dorm members, healthcare providers, and case managers with excellent service on the phone and in person.
• Conveys YMCA policies and procedures clearly to members.
• Provides timely assistance with lockouts and monetary transactions.
• Manages dorm member needs, cards and photos, and processes rentals accurately.
• Responds calmly to accidents, incidents and emergencies.
• Supports the supportive services office with administrative tasks.
• Promotes the YMCA mission and values in daily interactions.
• Uses the ADP Employee Portal and participates in ongoing tasks.
