Job summary

YMCA in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Part-Time Member Services Associate to support members with programs and policies at the front desk. You will greet members, process online memberships and registrations, answer calls, handle the cash drawer, and share information by phone, mail, or email.

Additional duties include loaning equipment like balls and racquets, basic front-office housekeeping, and guiding tours of the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
• General clerical and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate with people of all levels.
• Positive attitude and mission-driven mindset for the YMCA.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
• Critical thinking and decision making.
• Emotional maturity and physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet all members and public with a smile.
• Process online receipting of memberships and program registrations.
• Answer phone calls courteously and provide information or direct as needed.
• Maintain and account for the daily cash drawer.
• Provide accurate information to members via phone, mail, email or fax.
• Distribute balls, towels, racquets and other loan items using proper procedures.
• Basic housekeeping in the Front Office and YMCA areas.
• Perform other duties related to member services as needed.
• Give facility tours enthusiastically, highlighting areas of interest to the member.
• Control access into the building via the access system.
• Follow opening/closing procedures including cash handling and equipment checks.
