Job summary

YMCA of Upper Palmetto in Fort Mill, SC seeks a Part-Time Member Services Associate to greet members, answer questions about programs, process registrations and maintain front desk operations.

You will assist with events, manage the cash drawer, answer phones, and ensure a welcoming facility while upholding YMCA policies and safety procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
• General clerical and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate with people of all levels.
• Have a positive attitude and desire to achieve the mission of the Upper Palmetto YMCA.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations

• Emotional maturity
• Physical Requirements; carrying, seeing, hearing, speaking, running, crouching, lifting (25lbs) and walking.

Responsibilities

• Greet all members and public with a smile.
• Handle online receipting of memberships and program registrations.
• Answer phone calls promptly and provide information about memberships and programs.
• Maintain and account for daily cash drawer.
• Provide accurate information to members by phone, mail, email, or fax.
• Distribute balls, towels, racquets and other loan items from YMCA.
• Perform basic housekeeping in the Front Office and other areas.
• Assist with special events and other activities.
• Give tours of the facility and address members' interests and questions.
• Control building access through the system.
• Open/close duties as needed including door checks and saunas.
• Other duties as required.
