Job summary

YMCA of Upper Palmetto is seeking a Part Time Member Service Associate to provide accurate information on YMCA programs and policies at the front desk and member services area. You will assist with events and daily front desk duties while delivering excellent member service.

Responsibilities include greeting members, handling online receipts, answering inquiries, managing cash drawer, and supporting access control and facility tours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
• General clerical and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate with people of all levels.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
• Physical requirements; lifting up to 25lbs

Responsibilities

• Greet members and public with a smile.
• Handle online receipting of memberships, program registration, etc.
• Answer phone calls promptly with courtesy and provide information or direct calls.
• Maintain and account for daily cash drawer.
• Forward accurate information to members and potential members by phone, mail, email, or fax.
• Distribute balls, towels, racquets and other items on loan.
• Basic housekeeping in the Front Office and other areas.
• Be enthusiastic while giving facility tours to potential members.
• Control members entering the building via the access control system.
• Open/close duties as needed, including door checks and saunas status.
• Other duties as required.
