Job summary

The YMCA of Upper Palmetto is seeking a Part Time Member Service Associate to provide accurate information on programs and policies at the front desk. You will assist with memberships, program registrations, and front desk procedures while upholding the YMCA mission with a welcoming attitude.

You will greet members, handle online receipting, answer phones, manage the daily cash drawer, and support event activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
• Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and public with a smile.
• Responsible for online receipting of memberships, program registration, etc.
• Answer phone calls promptly with courtesy and provide information about membership and programs.
• Maintain and account for daily cash drawer.
• Forward accurate information to members and potential members by phone, mail, email, fax, etc.
• Distribute balls, towels, racquets and other items on loan from YMCA.
• Basic housekeeping in the Front Office and other areas of the YMCA.
• Be enthusiastic while giving tours of the facility and answer questions.
• Control members entering the building through the access control system.
• Open/close duties if required, including cash counting and sauna checks.
• Other duties as required.
