Job summary

Orangeburg County YMCA is seeking a Part Time Member Services Representative in Orangeburg, SC. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, delivering excellent customer service and assisting with membership inquiries, program registration, and facility access.

Responsibilities include greeting members, processing memberships, verifying credentials, handling payments, and maintaining a welcoming front desk.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database software.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk operations preferred.
• Certifications required within 60 days of employment: CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen.
• Ability to complete training: Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens, Sexual Harassment within 30 days.
• Passion for the YMCA mission and commitment to serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and provide information about programs, services, events, and memberships.
• Process new memberships, renewals, cancellations, and changes to membership status accurately.
• Verify membership credentials and issue membership cards as needed.
• Monitor facility access and ensure members have valid passes and sign in/out as required.
• Collect dues and program fees using cash, checks, cards or electronic payments; reconcile cash drawers.
• Address member feedback or issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain front desk area, restock supplies, and report maintenance issues.
