Job summary

The YMCA of Southern North Carolina is seeking a part-time Membership Desk Representative to deliver excellent service to members, guests, and program participants. You will respond to member needs, promote memberships and programs, and maintain a welcoming lobby area.

Responsibilities include conducting tours, selling memberships, building member relationships, and resolving concerns, while upholding YMCA policies. The role emphasizes teamwork and community impact.

Qualifications

• Certifications required within 30 days: CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all segments of the community.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants.
• Conduct tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with others and the YMCA.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of issues.
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
