The Salvation Army Grand Rapids Welcome Desk Attendant is a part-time role focused on delivering friendly, Christian hospitality to visitors, members, and staff. You will handle POS transactions, greet callers and guests, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments, while maintaining confidentiality and basic computer proficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service with cash handling, strong English communication skills (Spanish a plus), and the ability to obtain First

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in customer service and cash handling.
• Excellent computer skills; MS Office; cash handling experience.
• English language proficiency; Spanish helpful.
• Must comply with laws and maintain confidentiality.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Provide world-class customer service at the Welcome Desk with Christian hospitality.
• Perform POS transactions/CCMS functions at the Welcome Desk.
• Carry out all Welcome Desk duties and serve customers, clients and members.
• Answer and direct calls, greet visitors, and respond to emails professionally.
• Direct calls to appropriate program staff in a timely manner.
