Job summary

The Salvation Army in Coeur d'Alene is seeking a Guest Services Attendant to deliver exceptional customer service, handle memberships, and assist visitors and members at the point of sale. You will manage the POS, answer inquiries, and contribute to a welcoming environment across our programs.

Ideal candidates will have prior cashier or customer service experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team, maintaining a friendly and professional

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer software and perform data entry.
• Proficient typing and clear communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to customers, clients, and members.
• Handle cash, make change, and operate the POS system.
• Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries to the right staff.
• Process memberships and perform data entry for memberships.
• Maintain neat and clean POS stations and kiosks.
• Open and close tills; manage downtime tasks in the system.
• Assist with scholarship applications and referrals as needed.
