Job summary

Old Colony YMCA is seeking a detail‑oriented Membership Support Specialist at the Plymouth Branch, reporting to the Senior Membership Services Director. You will handle account management, collections, reconciliations, and support the membership team with daily tasks.

Responsibilities include managing cancellations, holds, reporting on past due balances, and assisting with welcome center operations. This role requires strong customer service, basic accounting skills, and a willingness to work

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of related accounts receivable experience.
• Proficiency with computer generated billing systems.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Detail oriented a must.

Responsibilities

• Support the Membership Team by managing cancellations, holds and other TractionRec procedures.
• Assist with scheduling for welcome center representatives.
• Understand the inner workings of all systems and communicate to the membership team best practices for promotions and new procedures.
• Manage and run reports, communicate with past due accounts using mail, email, and phone.
• Develop procedures to recruit and retain new and existing members.
• Complete daily reconciliation reports for branch cash handling and reconciliations.
• Assist with decline calls and report on outstanding balances.
• Support the running of special events as time permits.
• Assist Membership Recruitment and Engagement Director with daily and event needs.
• Assist with all membership support functions including tours and member questions.
