Job summary

University of Richmond’s Weinstein Recreation Center is seeking a part-time Member Services Assistant to provide excellent customer service, assist with locker assignments, and enroll members in programs using the Fusion system. The role includes processing guest transactions, managing equipment check-out, and supporting court reservations.

The position requires flexible availability, CPR/AED certification within 30 days, and a commitment to inclusive service for students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and enforce policies and procedures.
• Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and members; provide information and directions.
• Provide locker assignments and manage equipment check-out.
• Enroll members in programs using the Fusion system and register for services.
• Process guest fee transactions accurately (cash/check).
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment inventory.
• Assist with racquetball and squash court reservations and scheduling.
