Job summary

The University of Richmond Weinstein Recreation Center is seeking a part-time Member Services Assistant to provide excellent customer service and information to members. You will handle locker assignments, equipment check-out, and enroll members in programs using the Fusion system.

This role supports daily operations, hands-on member assistance, and cash handling, with CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior experience with cash handling is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule.
• Current CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors and members.
• Provide current program and schedule information to members by phone and in person.
• Assist members with locker assignments and equipment check-out.
• Enroll members in the Fusion software system and various programs or services.
• Process guest fee transactions (cash/check) and maintain a clean work area.
• Serve as a first responder in the event of an emergency in the Weinstein Center.
• Attend trainings and meetings as scheduled.
