Job summary

Planet Fitness is currently seeking a friendly Member Services Representative in San Jose to deliver an outstanding member experience at the front desk. You will greet guests, assist with tours, sign up new members, and help manage accounts with friendly, professional service.

The role requires basic computer skills, reliability, and a passion for fitness. You will also help maintain a clean, welcoming club environment and support the Club Manager and team throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills; interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
• Strong listening with empathy and problem solving.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions.
• Physical ability to stand/walk throughout shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front desk activities including answering phones and assisting callers.
• Check members into the system and sign up new members, calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Take prospective members on tours and assist the Club Manager as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts and respond to questions or concerns.
• Maintain club cleanliness and assist with daily cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Complete daily shift duties within the first hour and support ongoing club needs.
