Job summary

Self-Help Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative in Brevard, NC. You will initiate conversations to assess member needs and provide exceptional service while handling deposits, payments, and account maintenance. A strong emphasis on accuracy and policy compliance supports daily operations.

You will promote credit union products, support branch growth, and may travel to events. English/Spanish bilingualism is preferred, with flexible hours including weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in financial institution or other customer service industry preferred.
• Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member account relationships by providing excellent member service.
• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, manual payrolls, and account transfers.
• Disburse cash and check withdrawals.
• Open new membership accounts and assess for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote credit union products and services.
• Achieve individual and branch growth goals.
• Travel to local events as needed; weekends may be required.
