Job summary

Self-Help in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Member Service Representative to deliver exceptional member service, process deposits and payments, and support account transfers. You will open new accounts, assess accuracy and compliance, and promote credit union products.

Must be able to handle cash, balance drawers, and adhere to security controls. Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in financial institution or customer service preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify member needs.
• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, and transfers.
• Open new membership accounts and assess for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote credit union products and services and refer loans as needed.
• Maintain cash drawer and balance at end of shift.
