Job summary

YMCA of NorthWest North Carolina is seeking a Member Experience Representative to drive member engagement, growth, and retention through authentic relationships and frontline service. You will manage guest tours, register participants, and handle membership administration via DAXKO, while partnering with Wellness on onboarding and serving as the emergency control point.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and ready to work weekend and weekday shifts, with CPR/First Aid certification

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Associate’s degree or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Computer skills and the ability to learn appropriate computer programs related to the position, including DAXKO.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing personality and a desire to be helpful to others. Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift.
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
• Conduct tours with prospective members, explaining benefits of membership and YMCA values.
• Register members for services and programs; process new member IDs and passes.
• Respond to phone inquiries using YMCA best practices.
• Be the emergency control center and know emergency procedures.
• Support DAXKO reports as needed for the branch.
• Assist with Annual Giving Campaign as directed.
• Share information about programs and volunteer opportunities.
