Job summary

YMCA of Western North Carolina Woodfin location is seeking a part-time Membership Representative to create a welcoming environment for members of all backgrounds. You will greet visitors, explain YMCA benefits, and connect members to programs like swim lessons, youth sports, and childcare, helping drive engagement and retention.

You will process memberships using Daxko Operations, answer questions at the desk or on the phone, and guide prospective members through tours that showcase the Y’s

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
• A working knowledge of computers and ability to learn quickly (MS Word/Excel; Daxko helpful).
• BLS CPR and First Aid skills, and ability to assist in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets all members and prospective members entering facilities.
• Communicates YMCA value and membership benefits to the community.
• Uses Daxko Operations to sell and update memberships and to register participants for programs.
• Understands program offerings, pricing, policies, and procedures; proficient in Daxko Operations.
• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, on-site and over the phone.
• Guides tours to highlight community work of the YMCA and value of membership.
• Maintains a safe environment by enforcing policies and following safety protocols.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
