Job summary

Retro Fitness Jersey City is seeking a Front Desk Staff member to be the welcoming face of the gym. You will greet members, handle check-ins, and assist with memberships and retail sales while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role requires strong communication, a team mindset, and the ability to multi-task. Availability for mornings, evenings, and weekends is expected, and CPR/AED training is preferred. Join us and contribute to our member-first experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented and team oriented.
• Strong communication with members, coworkers and managers.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced fitness club environment.
• Punctual, responsible and detail-oriented.
• CPR/AED training preferred.
• Retail sales experience is a plus.
• Completion of Retro University courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in members as they enter the gym.
• Resolve member issues in a timely manner.
• Handle membership sales and retention efforts.
• Follow up with prospects and drive sign-ups.
• Sell in-store merchandise (Smoothies, drinks, Pro Shop items).
• Maintain a safe and clean facility for members and staff.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures as scheduled.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
