Job summary

The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Membership Sales Associate to deliver excellent service to members, guests and program participants. You will promote memberships, handle renewals, and support program registration while maintaining a clean, welcoming facility.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Prior customer service or sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements sales and membership strategies to recruit new members and retain existing members.
• Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
• Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
• Promotes program and membership enrollment in conjunction with marketing efforts to maximize sales.
• Coordinates program registration including phone, walk-in and web registrations.
• Ensures proper implementation of member service procedures and communicates changes to staff.
