Job summary

The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is hiring for a Membership Services role focused on delivering excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in a fast-paced environment. You will drive membership sales, renewals and prospect follow-up, provide administrative support, and help organize events to create an optimal guest experience.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required, and you will follow YMCA standards and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive culture.

• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer operations, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Documents.
• High attention to accuracy and detail.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Former YMCA experience utilizing SGA Sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements sales and membership strategies to recruit new members and retain existing members.
• Promotes program and membership enrollment in coordination with marketing.
• Coordinates program registration and logistics for phone, walk-in and web.
• Reviews and updates membership procedures; communicates changes to staff.
• Assists in organizing membership events and represents YMCA at community events.
• Participates in staff meetings and completes required training.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the facility.
