YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Membership Associate to provide exceptional service to members and guests. You will promote memberships and programs, support program registration, and help maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized facility.

The role emphasizes sales, relationship-building, and staying responsive to member needs. The position requires strong communication, multitasking abilities, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly-changing environment.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities across concurrent tasks.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups and handle conflict professionally.
• Previous customer service or sales experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with computer operations, including MS Office and Google Docs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Former YMCA experience with SGA Sales is a plus.
