Job summary

The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Membership Sales Associate to deliver excellent service to members, guests and program participants. You will promote memberships and programs, respond to needs, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.

Responsibilities include membership sales/renewals, administrative support for membership and programs, and coordinating program registrations. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly-changing environment.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
• Previous customer service or sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer operations (Microsoft Office, Google Docs).
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Former YMCA experience utilizing SGA Sales preferred.

• Delivers excellent service to all members, guests and program participants.
• Promotes memberships and programs and maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Responsible for membership sales, renewals and prospect follow up.
• Provides administrative support for membership and programs.
• Implements sales and membership strategies to recruit new members and retain existing members.
• Coordinates program registration and supports phone, walk-in and web registration.
• Promotes program and membership enrollment in conjunction with marketing efforts.
• Follows all policies, procedures and safety standards.
