Job summary

YMCA of Greater Springfield is seeking a Member Relations Representative to deliver exceptional member service at the Welcome Center. You will assist members, volunteers, and staff via in-person, email and phone contact, and help members reach fitness goals and participate in classes and programs.

You will process memberships and registrations accurately, provide program information, and support member recruitment through tours and follow-ups with prospective members.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/AED & First Aid certifications.
• Flexible schedule as determined by supervisor.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist members, volunteers and staff through face-to-face, email, and telephone contact.
• Provide membership and program information accurately and courteously.
• Process membership applications and program registrations correctly.
• Encourage member recruitment through tours and follow-ups with prospects.
• Open and close shifts with balanced deposits and complete paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe Welcome Center and facility.
• Report incidents and emergencies to the Membership Director and provide basic first aid as needed.
