Job summary

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a friendly Welcome Team member to greet members, give tours, and help new guests feel at home. This role emphasizes warm customer service, effective communication, and a positive presence at the front desk.

You'll answer phones, share membership information, balance simple payments, and collaborate with staff to create an inclusive, welcoming YMCA experience for all community members.

Qualifications

• Someone who loves meeting new people and delivering friendly customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain membership information clearly.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests with a welcoming smile and by name when possible.
• Share membership information and assist new members with joining.
• Answer phones and ensure callers feel heard and supported.
• Give tours of the facilities and programs to prospective members.
• Balance money and prepare simple reports to keep front desk operations orderly.
• Listen, solve problems, and help members with their needs.
• Collaborate with coworkers and volunteers to maintain a welcoming environment.
