Job summary

Tampa YMCA is seeking a Welcome Center Advisor to greet members, manage check-ins, answer multiple phone lines, and process registrations. You will conduct tours for prospective members, assist in membership sales, and coordinate with program staff to ensure a smooth member experience.

The role emphasizes friendly, hopeful, and proactive service. The PT, nonexempt position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality customer interactions and YMCA safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Proven ability to handle member questions and provide accurate information.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, manage sign-in procedures, and answer phones.
• Process program registrations and assist with tours for prospective members.
• Support membership sales by communicating benefits and guiding sign-ups.
• Provide outstanding service and resolve member issues promptly.
