Job summary

BECU is seeking an energetic Member Consultant II to deliver a seamless member experience across financial products and services. You will diagnose consumer financial needs, perform signings for outbound/inbound calls, and connect members with specialized services when appropriate.

As part of a pod-based structure, you’ll rotate across Hawks Prairie, Lacey, and Tumwater branches, traveling for training and coverage. Strong communication and a commitment to community wellness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment.
• One year of experience in a financial institution.
• Spanish language fluency highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently.
• Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
• Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire.
• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members.
• Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and service across business services, consumer lending, deposits, IRA, POA, and fiduciary accounts.
• Sign all line and loan documents originating through outbound/inbound call center.
• Assist the community with financial wellness, including budgeting and access to planning resources.
• Refer members to specialized services when needed.
