Job summary

YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a part-time Membership Representative to warmly welcome members and drive engagement across programs like swim, sports, and childcare. You will sell and update memberships, register participants, and explain program pricing and policies while delivering exceptional service in our facilities.

The role emphasizes welcoming tours, safety compliance, and a strong customer-service approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
• Croer with computers: MS Word, MS Excel; Daxko helpful.
• CPR and First Aid skills required or available.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Strong human relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets members and prospective members entering the facility.
• Communicates the YMCA value and membership benefits.
• Uses Daxko to sell/update memberships and register program participants.
• Informs and guides members about programs, pricing, policies.
• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and participants.
• Lead tours highlighting community work of the YMCA and value of membership.
• Enforces safety policies and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
