Job summary

YMCA of the Triangle Area is seeking a Part-Time Member Engagement Specialist to create a welcoming atmosphere, drive sales, and connect members through programs that reflect the Y’s mission. You will supervise the facility as needed and support staff in delivering high-quality service.

The role requires flexible weekend and evening hours, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with directors on engagement improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in customer service or sales is preferred.
• Professional, welcoming, and able to relate to diverse customers.

Responsibilities

• Model relationship-building in all interactions.
• Develop and maintain collaborative community relationships.
• Provide excellent customer service and address member needs.
• Handle tours, sales leads, and membership initiatives with branch protocols.
• Serve as a member advocate and concierge while on duty.
• Promote volunteerism as part of member experience.
• Be proficient with Personify Go/Personify 360.
• Support Welcome Center, desks, gym, and wellness floor to serve members.
