Job summary

Credit Union 1, Inc. seeks a Member Assistance Representative - Active to support our members through respectful and results-driven collection efforts.

You will actively collect on delinquent consumer accounts, set up and monitor payment plans, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has at least one year of collections experience in a financial institution, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with clarity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year collections experience in a financial institution is required.
• Knowledge of credit union services and operations is desirable.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of the laws governing collection of delinquent debts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates delinquent accounts and maintains files of all accounts judged delinquent.
• Contacts members for discussion of account status and attempts to conclude a repayment plan.
• Monitors repayments daily and takes appropriate action.
• Updates account information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Records payments and transfers funds to bring loans to current status.
