Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Member Care Rep II to handle delinquent accounts, negotiate payment plans, and support loss mitigation efforts. This role requires professionalism, analytical thinking, and the ability to assist members through challenging financial situations to achieve positive outcomes for both members and the credit union.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years recent experience performing progressive collection duties in a collection environment including handling repossessions, installment loan collections including VISA and Negative Shares, and initiating real estate foreclosure proceedings, or experience in either the Collection department, or Loan department at Golden 1 required.

Responsibilities

• Place and receive a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, negotiating repayment plans that meet the needs of both the Credit Union and members.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve delinquent and negative account activity.
• Accept incoming inquiries for resolution of delinquent accounts from members and staff.
• Initiate skip tracing to locate collateral.
• Maintain knowledge of state/federal laws related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and AML.
