Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking an experienced Medical Sales Professional for the New Jersey territory. You will drive sales growth, educate surgeons and OR staff, and provide on-site support to ensure correct use of BD products.

The role requires 3+ years of sales experience (medical favored), a Bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel 60%+. A valid driver's license is required, and the position is primarily on-site with BD's in-office expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Detailed understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales.
• Understanding of the product buyer concept, contract administration, and group purchasing.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
• Ability to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Present, educate, and provide in-services on using the Company's products to surgeons and staff.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on product use.
• Maintain knowledge of products, channels, and distribution methods.
• Develop new prospects and establish customers.
• Advise customers on product availability, pricing, and forecasts.
• Attend meetings and tradeshows, and report post-event activities.
• Establish BD products as standard for bid accounts.
