Job summary

BD Interventional’s Surgery unit is seeking a sales professional to lead territory growth, educate clinicians on BD products, and provide on-site support during procedures. The role emphasizes strong customer relationships, product knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 60% to meet sales goals.

Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in general sales, preferably medical, with a valid driver's license and willingness to work in a hybrid field/office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Willingness to travel at least 60% with overnight travel.
• Ability to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Present, educate, and provide in-services on the process/procedure of the Company's products to surgeons, operating room staff, and others.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure correct use of products.
• Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on product use.
• Ensure surgeons and staff have the most current product information.
• Maintain knowledge of products, channels, and distribution methods.
• Develop new prospects and establish customers.
• Advise customers on products, backorders, pricing, policy changes, and forecasts for needs.
• Address customer complaints and provide timely resolutions.
• Attend customers' meetings and tradeshows with post-conference reports.
• Establish BD products as standard for bid accounts via surgeon specifications.
