Job summary

IQVIA MedTech CFS seeks a field-based technician to travel to hospitals and perform software upgrades for automated medication dispensing devices. You will install, configure, and update devices, verify operation, and troubleshoot issues, ensuring compliance with credentialing requirements.

Assignments require open availability Monday–Friday with some nights and weekends; travel will be regional, national, and local, based on customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
• Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
• Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.
• Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
• Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
• Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
• Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
• Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
• Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
