Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to provide remote and on-site support for automated dispensing systems across the assigned region, including DoD facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware and software while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer relationships.

The role requires 1–3 years of hardware, software, and IT support experience, the ability to travel, and a shift from 3 PM to midnight or 4 PM to 1 AM with on-call time.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Eligibility for access to Local, State, and/or Federal facilities may be required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and travel.
• Shift 3 PM to midnight or 4 PM–1 AM with on‑call time.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to and resolve work orders within service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software components with full case ownership.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to senior staff as needed.
• Maintain documentation of service activities and inventory.
