Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will act as a Pharmacy Navigator, reviewing medication lists to improve adherence and prevent adverse events. This role ensures access to medications, facilitates refills and new prescriptions, and coordinates MTM interventions with Healthfirst pharmacists and partners.

The technician will perform patient health assessments, communicate with members and providers, and support adherence through collaboration with community pharmacies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacists on medication issues.
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) or registered/licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing

Responsibilities

• Review medication lists to support adherence and reduce therapy gaps as the member's Pharmacy Navigator.
• Assist refills, new prescriptions, appointments, and access barriers to medications; document care details.
• Coordinate MTM interventions with Healthfirst pharmacists and partners within healthcare management services.
• Communicate member adherence with community pharmacies and other providers.
• Perform patient health assessments to gather medication profiles and identify barriers to adherence.
• Handle member and provider communications via telephone (in person as needed).
• Additional duties as necessary.
