Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH for the Westmont of Pinole community in California. You will support residents with medication set-up and assist with the Medication Program under RN/RSD direction.

You must be able to record accurately, follow MAR procedures, and ensure timely documentation of all medication assistance, including PRN notes and effectiveness. Health screens and background checks are required before start.

• Ability to assist with medication administration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration as directed.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; avoid blanks; note PRN reasons and effectiveness.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
