Job summary

Westmont Living in Morgan Hill seeks a compassionate Med Tech to assist residents with medications in a memory care and assisted living community. You will perform medication set‑ups, record MAR entries, and support self‑administration under RN direction.

Requirements include completing health screens and a criminal background check; first aid training on hire is expected. This role offers competitive pay and benefits after a short waiting period.

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with self‑administration as ordered.
• Document medication assistance on MARs promptly and accurately.
• Leave no blanks on MARs and record PRN reasons and effectiveness.
• Provide health screenings as required (Physical, TB, drug test).
• Maintain current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
