You will follow physician orders, adhere to the Six rights of medication administration, and utilize the eMAR system to maintain safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have Virginia Medication Technician certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn the eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and internal policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for medication-related guidance.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed.
• Model the Bickford Mission and lead by example on shift.
